With reference to your letter of the 2nd ultimo, No.13700/21, enclosing a copy of a telegram from the Governor of Hong Kong concerning the arrangements for the issue of licences for wireless telegraphy on board ship, I am directed by the Postmaster General to say, for the information of the Secretary of State, that the Post Office will be glad to be informed in due course that arrangements, if any, are made for the issue of licences in respect of ships which are registered at Hong Kong but do not call at that port.

As regards call-signals it is assumed that call-signals for the use of the Hong Kong Administration will be allocated from the series of international call-signals at the disposal of the Colonial Office. So far as the Post Office is concerned, the Secretary of State,
